Cheat Eye 4 is down

Heute Morgen wurde im Forum der ESL bekannt gegeben das es CE4 nicht mehr geben wird. In dem Text heißt es:

Dear Community,

I am very sad to announce that we can no longer rely on Cheat Eye. Since it is not working for weeks, I already had the prediction that it won t be finalized. Yesterday I was told that not even the beta version is going to be online anymore. That means we are no lacking of any working Anti Cheat Tool.

But it is not over. I guess you all know the VCStarter Program/software by Brchi. DarkCu dedicated some of his secret knowledge to him, and he is going to creat an all-new Anti Cheat Tool. At the moment, we are thinking about the realization.

I came up with some crazy idead and I do not know if he can do it but Brchi is a really smart guy. The proccess of programming is @ 0% and I think it'll take until autumn but hopefully the new tool is done when the first thunderstorms will prevent us from sun-bathing.

I made some suggestions to him:

- of course an interface pretty close to Cheat Eye with
- login function
- Screenshots during the match + live suveillance
- Alibi information after the match via email or online at a Home

-I am pretty sure it won t work but I asked him to create a function that starts 1st person replays for every players while he is playing, everytime he joins a server/new map load. If that won t work, at least a 1st person function for spectators (So we just need to make Specs reliable) A first person demo would give us better chances to identify cheaters via Replays. He is already working on it. We'll see
- Something analysing the mouse movement (there is already one anti Cheat Tool that Silent Bob was always talking about. I just forgot the name)
- We need an up-to-date-homepage with up-to-date downloads

So please be patient and keep on playing in the ladder. In my opinion, with 1 or 2 exceptions, there are no cheaters at the moment. But ofc we need an ACT to be sure that everything is fine and maybe to atttract some old-schoolers again.

Mit diesen ersten News stelle ich mich auch kurz vor. Ich bin der NapStar und werde in Zukunft mit dem Team von WoH als Redakeur zusammen arbeiten. In diesem Sinne, man hört sich und lest immer schön meine News

This is bad news indeed - but I know that Brchi's tools are always very wellmade, so there is a silver stripe on the horizon. I really hope this project will work out well and I will help it as much as I can.

In the meantime we will have to deal with the situation as it is. I agree with Eule that there ain't much cheating going on at the moment. Nevertheless, even though it cannot prevent cheating completely I would like to make a spectator and replays mandatory for every match played to make sure that at least the most obvious cheats will not be used. I hope the community agrees with me in that.

Big big thanks to Eule and Brchi for their dedication to this game and the energy they put into keeping it alive. I hope for a great success in the new ACT. It sounds very promising.
